Why do I still see some data after I requested World App Data Deletion?
When you request data deletion of World App Data, the data collected is immediately deleted. The data visible in your phone is only stored locally even when it is no longer in our databases. You might also observe your personal information if you have created a data backup in your iCloud account.
If you don’t want to visualize this data any longer, we suggest deleting the World App from your phone as well as deleting the data backup created.
Do you keep any data after World App data deletion is requested?
No.
If you request deletion of your data, we delete all your personal data, and only keep anonymized data or data which we are legally allowed or required to keep.
When you choose to delete your data, we will delete the optional data donation data (formerly Optional Data Custody), the phone number you have provided, your profile data (i.e., account in the World App and all data associated with that), and the push notification ID associated with your device.
If you have published data on a public blockchain (e.g., by doing a blockchain transaction) it is not possible, from a technical perspective, to delete this and neither are we legally obligated to delete this data. This pertains to your public wallet key and the transaction history associated with that public key.
