How can I pre-order an Orb and become a Community Operator?

If you wish to become one of our first Community Operators, you can pre-order an Orb at https://world.org/community-operator. Manage an Orb in your community to verify unique individuals and help expand access to World services.

 

Steps to Get Started

  1. Visit https://world.org/community-operator 
  2. Read and accept the Orb Pre-Order Terms and Conditions, then select Start to begin the pre-order process
  3. Add your contact and shipping details
  4. Place a $100 USD deposit (or equivalent in your local currency) and press Pay to complete 
  5. You’ll receive a confirmation email with details about your pre-order

 

Next Steps

As Orb production approaches, you will be invited to select the purchase or rent of the Orb. You will also be invited to enter a Community Operator Agreement to earn rewards, where available.

 

Orb shipments are expected to begin as early as Q2 2025*. Once you receive the Orb, you can start verifying unique humans in your community.

2. Can I cancel my pre-order?

You can cancel your pre-order at any time for any reason, up until full payment has been made for either the purchase or rental of the Orb. If the pre-order is canceled, you will receive a full refund of your Deposit.

3. When will I receive my Orb?

While the exact date is uncertain, the estimated delivery could be as early as Q2 2025. We will keep you informed of any updates or changes to the timeline via email.

4. Can I change my decision to purchase or rent the Orb?

Yes, as production nears, you will have the option to decide whether to purchase or rent the Orb. Your deposit will be applied toward the final cost.

5. How do I cancel my pre-order or request a refund?

You can do so by accessing the cancellation link shown in the pre-order confirmation email.

6. What happens if the delivery is delayed?

Delivery may be delayed due to factors like production or customs requirements. While we cannot guarantee the exact delivery date, we will communicate any changes or updates.

7. Is the $100 deposit refundable?

The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel your pre-order, up until full payment has been made for either the purchase or rental of the Orb. Once you make a full payment for either the purchase or rental of the Orb, your Deposit becomes non-refundable.

8. When will I receive my refund?

Refunds can take between 5 and 10 business days, depending on your bank. 

9. Will there be any additional fees for customs or duties?

Delivery may be subject to additional customs duties or tariffs depending on your country’s regulations. These fees are your responsibility and are not covered by Tools For Humanity.

10. How many Orbs can I pre-order?

Only one Orb can be pre-ordered, per individual or entity.

11. Can I use the Orb anywhere in the World?

Depending on your location and how you plan to use the Orb, you may need specific licenses, permits, or approvals. It’s your responsibility to check and obtain any required authorizations in your area. By getting these approvals, you confirm that you’ll follow all applicable laws in your location and jurisdiction.
