To sign up for World ID, follow these three steps:

Step 1: Download the World Money app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account if you don't have one yet.

• Open the app and tap I am a new user on the welcome screen.

  

• Review the Terms and Conditions and TFH Privacy Notice, then tap Accept to continue.

  

• The app will display a Getting ready screen while your account is being set up — this may take a few seconds.

  

• If your device supports passkeys, you'll be prompted to save a passkey for secure, passwordless sign-in across your devices. Tap Continue to save, or Save on Another Device to store it elsewhere..

  

• Once your account is created, you'll see a Account created (Welcome to World ID) confirmation screen. 

Step 2: Tap your profile icon to open Settings and select World ID (Identity app).

Step 3: If you are prompted, download the World ID app.

Step 4: Open World ID app and go to the Credentials tab. Choose how you'd like to claim a World ID Proof:

• Verify at an Orb: Tap Get verified and follow the prompts to find a nearby Orb and claim Proof of Human. Proof of Human proves you’re a unique human and provides World ID’s highest level of assurance.
• Add a supported government ID: Tap Add Credential and follow the prompts to scan an NFC-enabled passport, national ID, or My Number Card with your phone. This lets you claim Proof of Attributes, where available.

Step 5: Once your Proof is claimed, World ID is ready to use. You can use your World ID Proofs across participating apps without revealing unnecessary personal information.

You don’t have to choose only one. If there’s no Orb near you yet, you can add a supported government ID now and verify at an Orb later. Check World ID app regularly for Orb availability near you.

What World ID Proofs let you do

Signing up creates your account. Claiming World ID Proofs lets you prove specific things about yourself to apps without sharing the underlying information. World ID offers three Proofs:

• Proof of Human proves you’re a unique human. It’s the highest level of assurance, backed by the Orb.
• Proof of Attributes proves specific attributes from your government credentials like age or nationality, without revealing anything else. 
• Proof of Presence proves you're present with just a selfie. The entire process is privacy-preserving and happens on your mobile device.

Websites and apps which integrate World ID decide which World ID Proofs they  accept. You can view your Proofs at any time in World ID app.
