How do I use Earn?

Earn is a feature in World Money that, where available, lets you deposit supported assets into on-chain lending protocols and track the rewards they generate over time. By depositing supported assets, such as Worldcoin (WLD), Digital Dollars (USDC), Ethereum (wETH), or Bitcoin (wBTC), you can automatically track earned rewards with no complicated setup or external apps.

Where Earn is supported

Earn is available in selected countries, and availability may vary by region. If the Earn feature does not appear in your Wallet tab, it may not be supported in your location.

To start earning:

  1. Open Earn. Depending on your app version, Earn is either its own tab in the bottom navigation bar, or inside the Wallet tab.
  2. Tap Deposit and choose a Program (e.g., Worldcoin (WLD), Digital Dollars (USDC), Ethereum (wETH), Bitcoin (wBTC)).

3. Tap Deposit, enter the amount, and Confirm.

4. Your rewards will update over time and appear in the Earn dashboard.

5. You can request to withdraw your assets at any time. See the steps below.

To withdraw from Earn:

  1. Open Earn.
  2. Tap Withdraw.
  3. Select the program you want to withdraw from. Only programs you hold a balance in are listed.
  4. Enter the amount, or tap Use Max, then tap Continue.
  5. Review the summary — total value, asset value, withdraw fee and provider — then tap Continue.

  6. You'll see a Withdraw initiated confirmation. Your assets return to your balance of the same asset once processed.

Withdrawal timing depends on on-chain liquidity and protocol conditions, so it may not be immediate.

Understanding APY

The reward rates you see are shown as APY (Annual Percentage Yield). The Total APY is a snapshot estimate calculated using the weighted average of your current APY rates across all programs where you have a balance in Earn. It is shown for informational purposes only.

The reward rates are variable, meaning they can go up or down,  are subject to change at any time, and your balance may also change in value. The rates you receive vary depending on the rates of the protocol provider Morpho, the amount of assets you hold in each program, and any promotional rates. World Money displays the current APY rate before you deposit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the rewards come from?

World Money uses Morpho, a decentralized protocol that helps find the most competitive on-chain lending rates. Everything happens automatically in the background, using on-chain lending protocols selected by Morpho, so you can deposit and track your rewards without managing the underlying DeFi steps yourself. As with any on-chain activity, there are risks, including smart contract and market risks.

Human boosted rewards are promotional rewards for World Money users who are World ID verified. These boosts are limited to the first 1000 WLD and first 1000 USDC in the Earn program. A full list of available rewards can be viewed on the third-party website, Merkl.

Do I need another wallet?

No. Everything is accessible directly from your World Money App.

I can't see Earn in my app. Where are my funds?

Earn availability varies by region, and in some locations it is not shown. If you deposited into Earn before, your funds are not lost — you can still view and withdraw them through the Morpho Mini App: open the Apps tab, search for Morpho, and open it. From there you can withdraw your balance back to your World wallet.

If you still can't see your funds, contact support with your app version and a screenshot of your Earn screen.

Is Earn the same as the WLD / USDC Vault?

Earn replaces the WLD and USDC Vaults. If you held a Vault balance, you'll see an upgrade screen with two options: Upgrade to Earn, which moves your balance into an Earn program, or Transfer to spending, which moves it to your spending balance where it no longer earns rewards.

How long do deposit/withdrawal transactions take?

Deposits and withdrawals are typically processed within a short time on-chain, but actual timing can vary based on network conditions, liquidity, and transaction fees.
